Founded in 2016, by Stephen M. Michaud, SASS has come a long way from its beginnings in Calgary. After years of working in disability services, Stephen realized large segments of this disenfranchised population were still being left behind. Stephen was subsequently driven to action and made it his full-time mission to ensure as many individuals as possible had access to supports. With the assistance of colleagues the field, the Community Access Life skills Management Program (CALM) and the Peer Friendship Program (PFP) were formed.
